Update light

If you're a Reader reader, there are new background layouts here, at Kinlee's, and at Braska's, so if you're into those things, check 'em out.

We're here and smiling. Overall we've had a couple good weeks, even though there's been alot of potentially frustrating news and happenings going on during that time. I've surprised myself at how many things have come up and how little they've stressed me. That's nice to notice. The girls are little jewels, for the most part, and we're adjusting to living with one car fairly smoothly.

I've got so many great pics and videos and funny stories and ponderings and random goofy observations that I'd love to share, but I haven't yet found the time. I did find a new spot that may be my new retreat-for-a-couple-hours-to-write spot if I find a chance. We'll see...

Once again, thanks to all of you who have been checking in. Hopefully I'll get to be more consistent very soon!

    Thanks for your advice; I do think I will first go on my own. I am still a little scared to bring up couples counseling with him.

Multi-mothering

Last week, Jen , Mark, and Sophie came to town for Sophie's ear tube placement at SLCH . We met up after the procedure at the Galleria so Jen could snag some shoes for Sophie (not that she was able to get what she wanted, unfortunately, but the Robeez Sophie got were super cute!). The double stroller we have is very good, it maneuvers very smoothly and opens and folds up really easily. Since it's so easy to deal with, I thought I'd add another task or two to the situation... Most of you know that you can click on the pictures in any post and they'll open up bigger. But in case you can't see clearly enough... Is there a law against driving a double stroller with one hand while holding a newborn with the other while holding the bottle with my chin?? (No, but there should be a law against that double chin that is created with this position!)

New Fave-o Site

Get a cup of good hot chocolate, put on your comfy clothes, and settle in with some non-rushed time to check out Dan Drinker's site . I can't even tell you how much I love watching these videos and reading what his family has written about him. I feel like I want to tune into the Dan Drinker 24-hour channel or something. Dan is a young man with DS who is living and loving life, and his younger brother Will captures much of it on video. It's priceless, in my opinion. I just love it. Check out the blog, watch some videos, tell them that you've been there. I wish this guy lived near me! The most recent post, about Breaking Up with Christine , is funny and poignant.
