The New Deal. Again.

2 cups water
1 cup oatmeal, plain
2 egg whites
1 cup milk

1 cup water
1 small apple

2 cups water
2 cups broccoli
4 oz lean meat (chicken/fish)

1 cup water
1 small apple

2 cups water
2 cups broccoli
4 oz lean meat (chicken/fish)

If you see me eating anything that is not on this list for the next 7 days, pin me down and make me give it back.

My doctor gave me this diet to get headed in the right direction. Julie, M, and Melanie are with me….anyone else wanna have fun too?

Maybe fun is not the right word.

  3. Yeah, those egg whites give me the heeby-jeebies too, but I'm going to do my best to work into them! And I'm gonna be a rebel and eat some green beans with my broccoli! Won't the variety be fun?!

  5. If you mix the oatmeal and egg whites in a Magic Bullet or blender then fry it, it makes an edible pancake. Good luck, 7 days isn't to long!

  6. This actually sounds fun to me. I love group projects such as diet and exercise. But I think my doctor would not be impressed with any further weight loss at this point in my life. I like your weight loss program much better than this one called grief, which I'm currently on.
It actually sounds very doable. YOU GO GIRL. Love your enthusiasm.

  7. I have never hear of this diet. Why all the broccoli? Just curious. How long do you do this? Is it an on for a week, off for a week? It seems so manageable. Let us know!

  8. I won't be following your plan, but I do support you. We can give each other encouragement (I could use some right now too). I need to get back to eating something close to your plan. I have a harder time with maintanance than losing it. Today I ate ice cream straight from the carton, pizza for supper and skipped the gym. Not good. Tomorrow will be better.
    You can do this!

Streamlining the Blogs

I know it's been forever, and yes, Facebook is much to blame.  For as long as I held out and didn't join, now I see it's simplicity (and it's ability to suck up all my online time!!). BUT--After much pondering, I've decided I'm not giving up on blogging! Sometimes a narrative or story will be better served in a blog format, so I'm combining blogs into one.   Intentional Family  is our new all-in-one blog for the goings on of our family, Braska's progress, celebrations, and challenges, as well as the amazing rise of little sister Kinlee. Other places you could check out if you so choose would be our new business  Larae Photography LLC on Facebook  or on the web at  www.Larae-Photo.com , or the page for my hobbies-gone-busy  Just RK Designs . So if there ARE any blog readers still out there, please come on over to the new place and join up for the ride.  All the old posts from the 3 previous blogs will be there soon so you can catch up if you ...

Multi-mothering

Last week, Jen , Mark, and Sophie came to town for Sophie's ear tube placement at SLCH . We met up after the procedure at the Galleria so Jen could snag some shoes for Sophie (not that she was able to get what she wanted, unfortunately, but the Robeez Sophie got were super cute!). The double stroller we have is very good, it maneuvers very smoothly and opens and folds up really easily. Since it's so easy to deal with, I thought I'd add another task or two to the situation... Most of you know that you can click on the pictures in any post and they'll open up bigger. But in case you can't see clearly enough... Is there a law against driving a double stroller with one hand while holding a newborn with the other while holding the bottle with my chin?? (No, but there should be a law against that double chin that is created with this position!)
