These stories come up occasionally… and people seem to have different perspectives on them. So I thought I’d invite discussion here.

I’ll say up front… I think it’s great. I think she’s clearly adored. But not everyone agrees. What do YOU think?
I can't seem to make up my mind tonight - food at IEPs? Homecoming queens? Dunno. I guess MAYBE, at a smaller school where everyone really does know her & has probably known her since Kindy. My fear would be that they're just trying to make up for years of being mean or ignoring her. But I saw Carrie at a young age & it scarred me.
ReplyDelete[Also, I'm being over-sensitive about the phrasing in the article - what "long odds"? Why doesn't she "fit the part"? ....And I think I just contradicted myself there. *sigh* Dunno.
Those students know the meaning of "...it is more blessed to give than receive." Those students who voted for Mariah were the real winners!
