Time mismanagement

I have so many things I want to write about. Not so much because YOU want to know as that I need to work through them, and it's very cathartic for me to "write through" things. But I don't have time. Or at least I can't seem to find the time to sit down and write for a couple hours... and that's what I need just to scratch the surface. I am not one who can write for a few minutes and then come back to it later to continue. Not on this kind of stuff.

I've debated doing some video blogging, like talking to the camera, because it would be quicker than typing it all out, but I can't get past looking at myself on video. That's a whole different issue. I've debated pulling an all-nighter to get some stuff fleshed out, but I can't imagine missing sleep right now. Again, another issue.

So for now, it will have to wait. I don't want to wait too long, though, because Kinlee's getting older, and I have so much I want to get documented about her birth and first few weeks here, the adjustments and the ponderings. I keep saying I need a blogging/digi-scrap weekend...just me, all alone, no housework allowed, just free-flowing thoughts, my laptop, all 1 million of my pictures from the last 30 months, and time to edit my writing thoroughly. (I'm big into editing.) Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath. I'm not *totally* delusional.

As a reminder to myself....topics I need to hit...
~Kinlee's birth story.
~Why I'm thankful Braska came first.
~Asking for help
~The trouble with helping others
~Current parenting strategies
~Braska updates: feeding, development, personality, IEP prep.
~Kinlee updates: milestone documentation

Those are the ones ok for public consumption...there are many more lately that aren't. Don't know what I'll do with them, but for now, it all waits.

  2. Maybe you could just record your voice...you could download free software for that. And that would get it off your chest without having to see yourself on video. (Which I would also passionately avoid.)
Then, you can come back to it when you have time and it could be like dictating to yourself.
Or, you could just burn the thing and the thinking it through process will make the writing go faster.

Or you could eat Snickers. Eat Snickers until you can't even remember your own name.

  4. I personally like the Snickers idea.....or cake...I could "build you a cake or something". Cake does make the world go 'round...

31 for 21: What to say

I have encountered plenty of people who ask "How old is she?" when Braska and I are out together here and there. They always guess her age about 5 months younger than she is, but that's ok, since that's what size she is. I have said several times that I can imagine it will bother me a bit more, although still not a huge deal, when she turns one next month and I see their reaction to that, as she still is in her car seat/carrier when we're in a restaurant or in a store since she doesn't sit up. Today, I met some friends for brunch. The waitress was a nice enough, very young girl, and she started cooing at Braska right away. That's nice. I don't mind, Braska likes the attention, and I'm proud of my cutie. The waitress asked her age, and I told her 11 months. She then said, "But she's not walking yet?" as she noticed that she was up to the table in her car seat/carrier. I just agreed and said, "Not yet." She said she h

Oh happy day, Less question mark!

As a follow up to yesterday's post, I got word today that we will NOT be assigned to the new guy, but we will have an experienced coordinator after all. I feel SO much better. I also learned some other info today that made me think I still have some kinks to work out, so I'll be taking care of that this next week. I'll be SO glad when this transition/IEP stuff is behind us. I want to do the very best I can, but there's part of me who wants to just hide and let it all happen without me.

Was there a line??

I assume that you went to vote, either today or earlier if possible. I expect that of you, know that straight up. How long did you wait in line?? And throw in the state you voted in, just for fun. I'm really curious if all areas have a big wait or if it's just the more congested ones. I voted Friday absentee/in person, and we waited about 15 mins or so. It moved VERY fast for a big line. There's just one place in our very populated county to do the absentee/in person voting, and it wasn't bad at all for what I thought it might be. If you haven't, GO VOTE people... again, please just know what you're voting for, either way. You may just have to live with your choice. God Bless America!!
