Cheer-ed out, but so proud

It’s been a very long two days with two big cheer events.  But the girls rocked it.  And I was very proud.

Was it all perfect? Nope.  Were there a lot of adorable moments? Absolutely.

If you missed it, you can go here for videos from yesterday.   (More from the last couple days in a few posts on B’s blog.  It’s fun to see your kids 8 feet in the air standing on one guy’s hand! )And I’ll add a little one from Kinlee’s routine today.  (I didn’t get to tape Braska’s today, which is sad because she did so much better today... but there will be more opportunities soon.)

That they went out there and did these in front of big crowds of unknown people is big. I can’t wait to see how they continue to progress.

AEC has really earned even more respect from me this weekend.  These coaches have gone above and beyond over and over.  They really have a heart for these kids, and that’s worth the world.

  1. I am so sorry I could go yesterday for the presentation. I am still feeling weird. We will look into tumbling because Tommy loves gymnastics. He loves it so much that he even enjoyed watching the Olympics. So we will follow his lead and aexplore as many area as possible in gymnastics. Thanks so much for sharing, GREAT VIDEO!

New Fave-o Site

Get a cup of good hot chocolate, put on your comfy clothes, and settle in with some non-rushed time to check out Dan Drinker's site . I can't even tell you how much I love watching these videos and reading what his family has written about him. I feel like I want to tune into the Dan Drinker 24-hour channel or something. Dan is a young man with DS who is living and loving life, and his younger brother Will captures much of it on video. It's priceless, in my opinion. I just love it. Check out the blog, watch some videos, tell them that you've been there. I wish this guy lived near me! The most recent post, about Breaking Up with Christine , is funny and poignant. Here's a couple of my other favorite videos so far... I've still got more to watch! His 7th Prom A Basketball Date with Sarah

Can I get a do-over?

If you are in need of a laugh at another's expense, I invite you to read on... really, it's totally ok. I can take it. This might end up long, but I wanna remember this special day. Oh so special... Today is my first day to have both girls and be on my own. Yeah, it's been two weeks, but I'm apparently slow at learning how to deal with this kind of thing. I knew it would be a challenge, but I thought with starting way early, we could make it. The quick ending is that we did make it...but that's not really the whole story. Kinlee's been sleeping til about 9 am or so after getting up twice in the night. That's ok, I'm dealing with it. But since Braska is supposed to be at school at 10 am on Mondays, I thought I better not sleep in like I prefer, and instead, I should get up and get things moving earlier to be sure we're on time. Not a problem, since Braska decided to be up twice last night in addition to Kinlee's two times. One time overlapped...so...
