Three for Thursday

1. It’s late, I’m tired, and I’m having some kind of weird chest fluttery, uncomfortable thing.  Not chest pain. Don’t get all worried, you worriers.  But it’s weird. So sleep is what I want sooner rather than later.

2. Tonight at work there was a woman in the branch who was homeless, in as a guest to use the showers.  She was there about 5 hours.  She didn’t seem well.  It’s so hard to know what to do in those cases… when someone needs help and when I don’t know what the right thing to do is.  I’m thankful I’m not numb to those kinds of needs, but it’s hard to feel helpless.

3. This daily picture thing on Braska’s blog is tough.  And it’s become discouraging to me that more posts seem to equal less comments.  I get that it’s easy to look at a picture and not have much to say, I guess.  (How many times can you say, “Too cute!” right??)  But I miss the comments, and since I archive them to print for Braska to have later on down the road, it’s sad to see so many receiving no comments.  Whiny? Maybe.  I know people are seeing the posts, but I miss the input and feedback.

Off to bed. Hoping tomorrow brings the return of a normal feeling.  This almost feels like a panic attack that just doesn’t have enough battery to turn over and vrooom.  Weird.

  1. RK,
I know that you did not want anyone to worry about your heart flutters but I have to tell you that could very well be a sign of major heart porblems and YES you need to go to a Cardiologist ASAP. I am very serious for my heart problems started out the same way. Please have it checked out. It is not worth what can happen if you wait to long. keep us posted on how things turn out.

    Love,
Sheila (sorry but I do not know my sign on any more so I have to use anonymous)

  2. Shame on me, Randa, because I enjoy your posts so much. In return I should take time to comment--sorry. I'll try to do better. I really enjoy reading about the girls' progress. Wish we could meet and have a play date for g-mas, mamas, and little girls!

  3. I didn't know you were saving them - That's awesome!
Sometimes I get behind, but if you're ok with a barrage of "so cute's" then, dude, I can deliver!

  4. Hi RK,

How are you feeling? I hope things are well for you and your family! I know I don't comment often, but I do think of you a lot.

New Fave-o Site

Get a cup of good hot chocolate, put on your comfy clothes, and settle in with some non-rushed time to check out Dan Drinker's site . I can't even tell you how much I love watching these videos and reading what his family has written about him. I feel like I want to tune into the Dan Drinker 24-hour channel or something. Dan is a young man with DS who is living and loving life, and his younger brother Will captures much of it on video. It's priceless, in my opinion. I just love it. Check out the blog, watch some videos, tell them that you've been there. I wish this guy lived near me! The most recent post, about Breaking Up with Christine , is funny and poignant. Here's a couple of my other favorite videos so far... I've still got more to watch! His 7th Prom A Basketball Date with Sarah

Can I get a do-over?

If you are in need of a laugh at another's expense, I invite you to read on... really, it's totally ok. I can take it. This might end up long, but I wanna remember this special day. Oh so special... Today is my first day to have both girls and be on my own. Yeah, it's been two weeks, but I'm apparently slow at learning how to deal with this kind of thing. I knew it would be a challenge, but I thought with starting way early, we could make it. The quick ending is that we did make it...but that's not really the whole story. Kinlee's been sleeping til about 9 am or so after getting up twice in the night. That's ok, I'm dealing with it. But since Braska is supposed to be at school at 10 am on Mondays, I thought I better not sleep in like I prefer, and instead, I should get up and get things moving earlier to be sure we're on time. Not a problem, since Braska decided to be up twice last night in addition to Kinlee's two times. One time overlapped...so...
